Crone Wisdom - Embodying your Inner WisdomAgeing women have had a hard time of it. Despised and denigrated as witches in the middle ages, they are often ignored and dismissed by modern popular culture. Jenny Joseph’s poem ‘When I grow old, I shall wear purple’ selected as one of the nation’s favourite poems, asserts the power of the crone. The archetypal old woman, so neglected, needs to be restored as a source of wisdom, which is what this workshop is about – finding your inner wise woman, who is present in people of all ages and genders.

The workshop will be held around the time of Samhain, the Celtic New Year, as we enter the darker days of Autumn and wend our way towards the Winter Solstice. The Crone in nature teaches us about the paradox of life and death.
