Out of the Dark Womb, Light is Born
|
Vassalisa, the Beautiful is a Russian fairy tale where the heroine goes into the dark forest to find fire and light. She has to confront Baba Yaga, the uncompromising Hag who holds the Mysteries of Life, Death, Life. This initiation story teaches us about our feminine nature and how to begin to free ourselves from outmoded patterns of relating and functioning which limit our existence and prevent us from living our lives to the full. All the characters in this tale live within our own psyche and we will gather together at the turning point of the year’s cycle to explore the richness, wisdom and relevance of this story to your heroine’s journey.
The weft of your personal story is woven through the warp of timelesss archetypal themes of life, death and rebirth. Join together with other women at this magical time to weave yourself some soultime. Hawkwood College is surrounded by lovely grounds, woods and fields less than five minutes from Stroud station. This weekend is facilitated by Eve and is experiential and creative with some times for reflection, sharing and collective activity. We will spend short periods outside weather permitting.
